In December 2020, central Croatia was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on\nthe Richter scale.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Consequences of the earthquake in December 2020.<\/h3>

The epicenter of the earthquake was in one of the poorest parts of\nCroatia, which also suffered a lot during the war in the 90s. Croatia for Christ decided to\ncollect donations and help those who lost everything in 15 seconds.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

With the help of Mrs. Branka Bak\u0161i\u0107 Miti\u0107, deputy mayor of Glina, we met the modest\nKa\u010dar family, whose house suffered enormous damage after the earthquake and was no\nlonger in condition for living. With a daughter with cerebral palsy and low income, the\nfamily of five found themselves in difficult living conditions. With the help of the deputy\nmayor, we managed to find a house that was well built and rated suitable for living.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

With the help of Deputy Mayor Branka Bak\u0161i\u0107 Miti\u0107, we met the Kukole\u010da family, who live\nin a village near the epicenter of the earthquake. They worked hard all their lives to build a\nhome where three generations of family members lived, and they put in their savings to\nrenovate the house 6 years before the earthquake. The earthquake was so strong that the\ntop floor with the roof separated from the rest of the house and the house was marked with\na red sticker by experts, which means that it must be demolished.<\/p>

They decided to build a new house in a safer location, and from the donations of\nChristians, Croatia for Christ covered the costs of materials for the construction of the new\nhouse.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

With the rest of the collected donations, Croatia for Christ helped two more families, and\nall our donors received a report and invoices for all expenses.<\/p>
