At the very beginning of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, Croatia for Christ ministry decided to do everything possible to help refugees arriving in Croatia.
During this period,
we found several families in need, and with the help of donations, we are trying to provide
them with food, accommodation, administrative and spiritual help. So far, we have
accepted families whose members are of all ages, from children, the youngest of whom is
2 years old, to elderly people, the oldest of whom is an 84-year-old lady. We temporarily
accommodated some of the families in the church building, and for the rest, with the help
of church volunteers and donations from Christians, we prepared apartments in Varaždin
for them to live in. In these difficult times, we are trying to show God's love to these
people in need, regardless of their religion. We believe that the Ukrainian families we are
helping feel welcome and loved, like to be with us in community, and want to participate
in church activities. We are grateful that we were able to find a person who can regularly
translate Bible studies and Sunday services into Ukrainian, so that, in addition to financial
aid, Ukrainian refugees have the opportunity to hear and understand God's word. We are
grateful for all donations with which we can help these people.
